I'm a bit behind...I wore this outfit to school, my brother's swim meet, and then out to dinner with friends and family last Friday night! As you can tell I am loving my Lulu*s boots. I also just bought this top from Love Culture--where this summer, I also bought my chambray shirt. They're kind of like a Forever 21, aka quality isn't the greatest, but I sure have been loving the styles! :) What do you think? Would you wear this top or is it too *bling bling* for you?

Also, I went to Washington DC on a school trip yesterday. I'm taking AP US Government and Politics, so it was relevant and interesting and...long. DC is 3 hours from where I go to school, so I woke up at 5 AM and the bus left at 6:15 AM. We came home in rush hour traffic and that was an even longer trip (5 hours!!) and didn't get back to school until 9:30. Needless to say, it was quite a long day. Would have been better as an overnight trip, but I still thought it was fun! Of course now I need to catch up on a whole load of work.
And that's where I'll leave ya! Back to work I go....

So my search for the perfect, short brown boots continues. I ordered a pair from Nordstrom but when I got them, they were too plasticky looking so I am going to return them. In the meantime, my search for the perfect short black boots has finished!!! WITH THESE AWESOME BOOTIES FROM LULU*S! Love the studding on the sides, definitely makes them original!!  Also, what do you think of my monogrammed initials necklace? According to my brother, all the prepsters at his prep school wear them. So I guess this makes me (kind of) preppy? no? didn't think so. This look is definitely not preppy. :) And stay tuned for a post with this bracelet from ULINX later in the week...I'll fill you ALL in about why it's so cool and unique! We took our Christmas card picture yesterday! This year, my brother and I donned matching red Patagonias and our puppy Ellie wore ribbon and bells! Isn't she the cutest? Jamie (my brother) isn't in any of these, and none of these are the FINAL picture of course. Just wanted to show you some quick snaps of me and Ellie! I'm already in the holiday spirit--I have bought ALL of my presents AND wrapped them all :) This girl's ready for Christmas!!

I took the SATs for the second time this morning. I hope I did as well as I want so that I can be done with this business!! Standardized tests are literally the worst. In other news, I've taken full advantage of my shiny new license and have just returned from a nice trip to the mall ALL BY MAHSELF! It was awesome. I got all my christmas shopping done without having to sneak stuff into the car with my parents :) And I did it in style too...in my very own JETTA! Yep, I got a car. It rocks. Tweet
