Plow Marks

My mom gave me this necklace back in December, but I think this is the first time I've worn it on my blog despite it being a favorite of mine these past two months!

It's a scrabble piece with a camera charm on the front--I see it as the perfect symbol of who I am, because it combines words (the scrabble piece) with photography (the camera charm) and fashion (it is something I can wear!)--my greatest passions. I love that it combines all three of my favorite things.

Sixty Seven

And just when I thought I couldn't possibly need another pair of boots, the Blake boot from Sixty Seven came into my life. Usually, to be honest, I don't opt for boots that make me taller as I'm already about 5'9" (and who knows if I'm still growing). But these are different. They are the perfect ankle boot for Spring, and that's actually why I picked them out--all of the boots I have are meant to be worn with tights, or with jeans, or with something cold-weather related. These booties are perfectly versatile (proof--I'm wearing them in 10 degree weather in the snow). And already, I'm envisioning them with spring dresses and skirts.

This Spring is going to be one of the best ones yet. Already, despite the fact that it's still freezing outside and that the polar vortex is continuing into March, I've had the best couple of weeks. I'm happier then I've ever been before and also starting to feel sentimental--in merely a month, I'll put away my books and be done with high school studying forever.

How am I going to be done in APRIL you ask? At my high school, senior's do a 5-week-long "senior project" at the end of the year--we take no classes, and have no homework. Instead we design our own 5 week schedule around WHATEVER we want to do. I absolutely can't wait.

What is my project, exactly? Along with two of my best friends, I will be pursuing happiness. What does this mean? I'm not quite sure yet. All I know right now is I'll be writing lots of poetry, taking lots of pictures, and hanging out with my friends. In the end, we hope to have interviewed other friends as well as people off of the street about what makes them happy, and turning it into a documentary (starring the three of us of course). I can't wait to pursue happiness and to tell you all of my adventures!

Here's to the best Spring ever!

Repeat Offender

I am, shamelessly, a repeat outfit offender. Down to the shoes, belt, and jewelry. Everything is EXACTLY the same. Sometimes when you really like an outfit, you've gotta give it love more than once, ya know?

(in case you forgot, I put this exact outfit up a few weeks ago. I did take new pictures this time, so you might not have noticed!) :)

Christmas in February?

Top- Macy's | Vest- Macy's | Leggings- Aerie | Boots- Macy's

I just really like Macy's OK?

But in all honesty, it's my mom who finds all of the Macy's goodies. The vest and boots were both gifts--boots for my birthday, vest for Christmas--clearly she finds the best stuff there! My only complaint is I wish I'd had this vest before Christmas so I could've looked more festive back then. It's alright, I don't mind dressing like it's Christmas in February!

MOVMT

I feel so much more fashionable when I'm wearing something environmentally friendly. Jewelry, clothing, accessories, or shoes, it makes me feel like I'm making a good lifestyle choice. Because I am. And you can too...

Introducing MOVMT (The People's Movement), a brand that uses organic, eco-conscious materials and upcycled plastics to create shoes and accessories.
On top of that, they donate a portion of sales to the reduction of plastics through oceanic research.

Sounds pretty good to me....and would you check out those shoes? I couldn't resist wearing them in the snow, but don't worry, they still look good as new! Get your own pair here.

The Lost Name

Dress- Urban Outfitters | Sweater- American Eagle | Boots- Free People thanks to Mrs. Ambrose, you're the best!!!  | Watch- c/o Daniel Wellington | Necklace- c/o O'Necklace

Somewhere, on the side line of a soccer field on the East Coast, lies a necklace that reads, "Rory". It was tarnished when I lost it, and probably even more tarnished now. I can never get back the numerous hours spent searching at home, at school, in my friends bags, and more, for my favorite necklace. But, I can get something just as good. A brand new, shiny, silver replacement. A new "Rory" necklace.

Thank you to O'Necklace, for gifting me a necklace that will be worn so often that even strangers will know my name. I'm so glad to have back my favorite necklace, new and better than ever. It's a good day.

(In case you were wondering, yes it was cold, but I HAD to wear bare legs with these boots given to me by my dear friend Mrs. Ambrose, just wait to see how I'll wear these come Spring!!!)
