Happy First Day of Spring! Finally time to break out the shorts again. Although it's too chilly today to wear shorts, last weekend was nice and warm! :) And this weekend is supposed to be, too.
Last night I saw Nice Work If You Can Get It on Broadway. It's the one with Matthew Broderick in it, although we didn't get to see him. His understudy was very good though! The play was very cute, and there was some great acting in it. I would highly recommend it! :)

I told you guys that I wasn't taking these two necklaces off...and I wasn't lying!!! They really do complement each other nicely, don't they? I wore this outfit to my sports awards last week. We have to dress up and stand on stage as our coach talks about our season and our team and blah blah blah. It's actually not that bad, since we get to see every other team stand on stage awkwardly too. I changed into flats half way through the day since I didn't want to stand on stage 30 feet taller than the rest of my team :)
This outfit is fitting for Wear Abouts...it matches the color scheme PERFECTLY! Look at how well this look goes with my header!
Also, if you haven't yet, don't forget to enter the Yak Apparel giveaway!
Just in time for winter I've got the perfect giveaway for you! Today you can enter to win a hat of your choice from Yak Apparel! Yak Apparel hats are handmade from real wool in a village in Nepal that the brand supports. They also sell handmade 100% silk scarves (from Nepal, too). Your hat will be completely one of kind because it is handmade! As you can tell, I love my beanie. I chose black and white because I have a lot of b&w in my closet and will be able to mix it with everything. Up next, I'm looking to print mix! :)
Also, ever since I received this necklace fromAnjolee, I've been wearing it nonstop with my Rory necklace. As I've said before, this season I've been more into delicate jewelry, unlike last winter when I loved statement, chunky necklaces. Well, these two more delicate necklaces go PERFECT together. Literally have not been wearing anything else but these two. Expect to see nothing else for the next few weeks :P
It's crunch time for me--the trimester ends in like a week so my teacher's are pounding out the tests and papers and labs and more! Hope you guys are doing well; things are finally starting to be normal again for me after Sandy. Let me tell you, it's SO nice to have power and heat :) :) :)
Ugh, guys, I'm STILL without power. On Monday it will have been two weeks since we lost it. Thank god for the generator--and strangely, we still have internet/TV/phone. There's a chance we'll get power back tonight or tomorrow, and I sure hope so!!! I have certainly been freezing cold as the house has no heat when we have no power. Is anyone else still out of power or feeling the effects of Sandy? Also, were you guys happy with the outcome of the presidential election?

What can you do when a hurricane is blowing your house down and you're bored to death? Why, watch Grease of course! Sandy, after all, is the main character. And that's the name of this wild storm that's knocking at the door! (In case you missed it, the title of this post is from the song "Sandy" sung by John Travolta in Grease.) The worst of it is supposed to hit around 9 pm tonight where I am. I still have power...surprisingly...but I'm sure I'll be out of it by then. Getting in some last minute blogging until then! These are some quick snaps taken on my back porch. Couldn't do it out in the open since I use a tripod (not a real person) and so my camera would get wet. See you on the other side of this monstrous hurricane!
