Say hello to my bestest friend Ellie. Isn't she the cutest? She invaded my outfit photos and I love how they turned out.
I've been rolling in the good news lately. I found out two days ago that a collection of poetry I'd written received an honorable mention in the Scholastic Art and Writing awards. Those are the same people from whom I just won a gold and silver key for my photography! And just moments ago I found out possibly the best news of these awards yet--I've been selected as the single nominee from my school to submit to the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) a themed essay based on a prompt for the NCTE Achievement Awards in Writing! Since each school can choose only one nominee (and it's a contest for high school juniors only), that means the English department at my high school chose me, out of every person in the grade, to represent my school! I've always loved writing and to see my love be recognized in such a tremendous opportunity such as this...all I can say is I am freaking out!!!!!!!!!!
