Poor Sparrow

Top- Free People via Lord and Taylor | Jean Jacket- J. Crew

Meet Poor Sparrow--the awesome Etsy shop with vintage and handmade jewelry that is sooo totally my style! How great do each of these pieces go with the Free People top I'm wearing? I think this jewelry would totally be something you'd find at a Free People or Urban Outfitters for $50 each...but Poor Sparrow is selling them for so much cheaper than if you'd find these cool pieces there! Plus, they're handmade and vintage!
I can't wait to wear these to school--I only got them in the mail yesterday and had to take pictures in them so you could see them right away. :)
Check out the website here, the etsy shop here, and facebook here.
On another note, it feels like summer is right around the corner! The weather in NYC this week is supposed to be in the 80s!!! In one month, I'll be done with my AP courses and then after that less than a month til summer. My junior year has really flown by!

Springtime in Paris

Dress- H&M | Sweater- c/o August Wrinkle | Shoes- c/o MyHotShoes.com | Scarf- (my mom's) Laila Rowe | Hat- Target

"Springtime in Paris" is the name of my third trimester English course at school. The first two trimesters I took Poetry, which I absolutely loved. Not only did I have one of my favorite teachers, I love the topic of poetry and I love reading and writing it! Springtime in Paris is much different. On the first day of class every student got their own baguette and that was pretty awesome! But I'm not as into what we're actually doing--it's kind of like an art history course! We're learning about art created in Paris and reading Gertrude Stein, who, quite frankly, writes totally unedited. I don't like her style at all.

But, it's still one of my favorite classes. It just really doesn't compare to Poetry.
I created this outfit as if I were going to Paris in Springtime. Florals, cute hats, bright colors, and spring-ish booties. Can't you see a girl in Paris wearing this? (It's also the perfect Easter outfit!)
