I've added a lot of new pictures to In the Mixx today! Check it out :) I've also got a lot of more fun giveaways coming up soon...my favorite is one thanks to Captiv. In the mean time, enter the Vanessa Mooney giveaway below!
THANK GOODNESS IT'S (almost) MAY! What does that entail for me? Only one more month of school, AP testing (yikes...US History anyone?), the start of lifeguarding (YAY!), springy outfits, final exams, my last month as an underclassmen, and LOTS more! I can't wait for summer--I've got so much planned in terms of the blog. And obviously I'm so sick of school. I can't wait to just relax by the pool and, you know, casually save a life or two. Just kidding. I know I've told you this before but I'll tell you again...the closest I've ever come to saving a life as a lifeguard was giving a kid a bandaid. Very stressful, very stressful.
I've got a soccer and study-filled weekend, so not much relaxing for me. But sleeping in is definitely on my agenda! Happy FRIDAY! :)
When I go shopping, I tend to gravitate towards printed pieces, or statement items that can't be worn often because they're so memorable. That's why when GoJanetold me I could pick something from their shop, I went for a dress with no prints, simple colors, and a basic silhouette. Basic at first glance, anyways. With a blazer over the top, you'd never know how multi-dimensional this dress really is. But with a quick turn around, the cut out back makes this dress one of the most exciting pieces I own. I have a feeling I'll be breaking my own rules and wearing this dress as much as possible this Spring and Summer!!
As I said in my last post, I prefer my hair longer. But with summer approaching, and frizz season already upon us, I'm glad that it's shorter. Easier to manage, anyways, if not as good looking. What do you think? Am I a shorter-haired girl or is long hair my thing? I've still got some long-haired pictures I've yet to publish if you prefer the latter ;)
Lastly, these new shoes are the highest heels I own and oddly enough the easiest to walk in. Probably because of the mega platform. Either way, I would HIGHLY recommend them! I'm over 6 feet tall in these ginormous heels!
So these are the shorts I told you about in my last post. Although they aren't my favorite, and they are a bit short for school, they hold a special place in my heart because they are the first item I was ever gifted by a brand when I started my blog. So thank you, OASAP!
Also, got my haircut as you can see. I really do prefer it longer, it's less curly that way, but the ends were getting pretty split so I had to chop it off.
And finally....
the VANESSA MOONEY giveaway I'd hinted about earlier! I opened this one up early for extra entries, but no one was able to guess which necklace I was giving away. One lucky reader can win the Just Kickin' It Rock Medallion Necklace, a $77 USD value, pictured below. You'll get to see me style the same one in the next few weeks. WE CAN BE TWINS!!!!
Make sure to enter in the Rafflecopter form below. I've disabled comments to avoid confusion.

Skirt-Forever 21 Belt-New York & Company Shoes-Kenneth Cole Reaction @ Marshall's Watch-gifted Necklaces- my grandma's
Last summer, ALL the craze were crochet shorts and crochet dresses and crochet tops. And finally, FINALLY, thanks to OASAP, I have both crochet shorts AND a crochet top. I feel so fashion forward. Or fashion behind...considering crochet was big last summer. But looks like the forecast for this summer (and spring) is also crochet-filled! I guess I'm ahead of the game, after all. Any trends you're loving for spring and summer?
p.s. These shoes look familiar? Yep, I bought them in two different colors. Check out how I wore the other ones HERE
Top- (giveaway from Alexa) Free People Pink Bracelet- c/o Rocks Paper Metal Jacket-Men's Gap (thanks Dad :P) Heels-Kohl's Hat-NYC street vendor Bracelets-gifted, DIY Skirt- F21
Ever shop in the men's department? Me neither. I was in Gap with my dad, and he spotted this for me on the sales rack in the men's department! Who would have thought to look there? Not me. I guess that's the one advantage to shopping with a man! It's perfect for dressing down and grunging up a girly dress or skirt, like this floral F21 number.
And the bracelet? It's even more neon in person! It's perfect for stacking and wearing alone...it's such a statement! Next on my list...a neon crystal necklace! Rocks Paper Metal has the perfect ones if you're looking for a statement necklace in spring and summery colors!
p.s. Congrats to KISTY for winning the Club Couture giveaway! I've got another fun one coming up with Vanessa Mooney. See how to get early entries, HERE.
