Lobby is one of my new favorite boutiques! They pick the best clothing and accessories from both emerging and established brands, including Wildfox Couture, For Love and Lemons, Finders Keepers, Stylestalker, and more, and then sell those picks to us! If you live in Cali, you're in luck! They have a Costa Mesa location that I would looooove to go to...except that I don't live in CA! :) But they sell all their goodies online, too, so check them out here.

I mean...how cool are these shorts. I'm in love :) If you wanna pick up your own pair, I fit a size M perfectly and I'm usually a size 4/5 in jeans/pants.

I have 9 days until my preseason starts :( That means, essentially, 9 days of summer left. Once preseason starts, I'm back to waking up at 6:30 every morning and driving to my school. At least I will have the afternoons and nights, though. Officially, I have 23 days of summer left. Just a little of 3 weeks! I can't believe how fast it's flown. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm ready for school. Ready for chillier temps and fall layering. Of course, two days in and I'll be wishing it's summer again. Homework does that to ya. Oh yeah, speaking of which, I have yet to do my summer work. 3 books to read, one essay to prepare for, and half of a biology book to study. Ugh.

How much time is left for you guys?

Giveaway #7: Blame the Blazer

Outfit Details:
Dress- c/o YA Los Angeles
Blazer- TJ Maxx
Shoes- Gap
Belt- Forever 21
Necklaces- Vintage
Cuff- Attachments LLC

My mom and I share two striped blazers: this one, and one with white stripes on a black background. They are similar, but each one goes with certain things better than the other does. We got them (aka: my mom bought them both) at TJ Maxx for $20 each and it was so worth it because we BOTH wear them all of the time! They go with anything that has black or white in it!

Take this dress for example. The print itself is made up of mostly black and white, so although it conflicts in terms of pattern, it matches by way of color. That's my logic, anyway! Also, remember that addiction to dresses and tops with cutout/patterned/awesome backs that I had this past spring? I'm still not over it. And this dress has a rockin' back!

Today you can win the dress shown below from YA Los Angeles:

Pleats are so in this summer and the print and color are tropical, girly and summery!

It's nearly summer! And what does that mean? Bikinis, sandals, sheer lace tops, wide brimmed hats, sunglasses and...feathers. For me, anyway. Do you wear feathers? As a necklace? Try wearing a feather hair clip--really adds SO much to a simple outfit! Echoing Waters is my favorite place when it comes to feathery accessories! :)

I'll be studying for finals all day today....but I'll be back soon! Hope your holiday is more fun than mine !

What I Like About You

Outfit Details: Blazer-American Eagle,  Dress-Ruttish (giveaway),  Socks-JCPenney, Boots- Dolce Vita for Target, , Bracelet–Vintage and DIY’d,  Necklace- J. Crew,  Nails- Sally Hansen Xtreme "Lacey Lilac"

I’m 16 years old and half way through my sophomore year in high school. I have one brother, who is 16 months younger, two parents who both work, and a puppy named Ellie who is a soft coated wheaten terrier show dog. I’m a soccer goalkeeper for my high school varsity team, a writer for HighSchoolPieces.com (check it ouuuuttt) and a Friends fan. I'm a lifeguard whose shining moment was giving a kid with a cut a Band-Aid. I've modelled for the etsy shop Echoing Waters where my good friend Lauren handmakes one-of-a-kind accessories. I shop WAY too much for the teeny-tiny closet I have. I’ve never broken a bone, never had a cavity, and never been to the emergency room. I am a dark chocolate girl through and through, and have a totally normal fetish for buffets. I never wear a working watch and I ALWAYS want to know the time. I live in a 160-year-old house that is home to much more than the five of us (yes, I mean bugs/ bats/ squirrels/ spiders/ centipedes/ mice/ ants).

So that’s just a little bit about me in case you haven't happened to read the “About Me” which doesn’t say anything about any of that anyway. Thanks for stopping by!

When I first set my eyes upon a fashion blog, I couldn’t even fathom what I would be getting into. I’d never heard of NY Fashion Week, I didn’t really understand the concept of a blog, and I never thought I would be starting one of my own. But with my first glimpse of raw, run-by-real-girl style, I realized magazines were nothing compared to this. I was far from alone in my love of shopping and looking good when I left my house everyday. After that, I would wake each morning and I would pour over my favorite blogs, admiring and getting inspired by what I saw. My blog roll grew bigger—I craved seeing the where (or wear) abouts of girls and women like me from all over the world. And then it dawned on me that if I loved seeing everyone else’s style so much, maybe they would like to see mine! I knew I’d certainly love to have a place on the web to call home, a creative outlet to express not only my style but my writing, a place where I could document the girl I was growing up to be. Sure, it’s not really a “glimpse into my soul”. But fashion is part of what makes me ME.

Don’t get me wrong: I’m no Natalie, and I’m certainly no Rumi. But I am Rory. And I don’t want to be anyone else but me. My style is my own and though not as extravagant or expensive as others, it is unique. I’d love to have you with me on this blogging journey, in which I hope to grow thru my style and grow as a person. If you follow or if you don’t, if you’re excited or if you’re not, if this world of mine means something or has no effect on you at all, this is going to be a place where I share with you something (hopefully) inspiring that I can call my own. Whether it be my outfits, my writing, my style, or my life; it will be, simply put, me.Welcome to Wear Abouts.
