Free People I Love You

Everything I own that's Free People I just love. I really do. At first I found it difficult to style this tunic, partially because it's basically backless and I wanted to wear it to school, and partially because it's too long to wear with shorts but way too short to wear as a dress. I solved that problem with leggings and a longer bandeau and I got so many compliments when I wore this to school!!
So in my first three days of school, I wore two Free People outfits. Totally worth it--Free People is literally my favorite brand EVERRR. Anyone else agree?

Silver Sailboat

I'm back on the ear cuff craze! You may remember when I got three last summer. Well I've got another one now thanks to HolyLand's Treasures, whom I've collaborated with before.
In other news, I just won a national writing award from the National Council of Teachers of English. I'm absolutely ecstatic. If you want to read about it you can click here to see a list of other winners too! There were about 150 winners in the country and I am still shocked that I was one of them. I've been so lucky winning awards this year! Photography, writing...I'm really trying to show my two greatest passions :) Also I just started a club at my school yesterday! It's called "Photography Club". Can you sense a common theme here? :)
Happy Friday! Two weeks left til my torturous AP classes are over...hallelujah.

Springsteen

BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE. Yep, Bruce Springsteen. If you haven't heard of him, you're insane. And if you think he's awful, well, join the club. But apparently he's popular, so... SO that is why I am seeing him in concert. My parents love him, my relatives love him, my parents friends' love him. Must be an older person thing, since as far as I know, none of my friends like him (and when I say older, it's all relative, Mom, don't worry).
Anyways, this is what I'm wearing as I'm off to go see Bruce Springsteen tonight with a whole bunch of my family and my family's friends and (thank god) one of my own friends. It's forecast to rain, storm, and lightning all day so it should be fun!

Meet my little white dress. Unlike LBDs, I don't have 10+ little white dresses. This is the one and only LWD that I own. If it were up to me, I'd have rows and rows of rainbow colored dresses. And although white isn't part of the rainbow, it is an essential color in my closet!

This one's kind of boring....hence why I need a new one! :D It has a simple little ruffle detail on the top, which I'm not such a big fan of. I like dresses to be STATEMENT...just like everything else I own--statement necklaces, statement shoes, etc--and this dress just isn't. That's why I gussied it up with this wacko vintage denim vest. Lace, red denim...how much more wacko could you get? In case you didn't know...I like wacko :)

I also added my biggest necklace from Nasty Gal, my favorite heels, and an ear cuff. It may be small, but it sure is statement! This is my 3rd ear cuff.... I think I'm addicted.
