Sixty Seven

Dress- Wetseal | Jacket- thrifted Gap | Boots- c/o Sixty Seven | Necklace & Earrings- Forever 21 | Watch- c/o Daniel Wellington

And just when I thought I couldn't possibly need another pair of boots, the Blake boot from Sixty Seven came into my life. Usually, to be honest, I don't opt for boots that make me taller as I'm already about 5'9" (and who knows if I'm still growing). But these are different. They are the perfect ankle boot for Spring, and that's actually why I picked them out--all of the boots I have are meant to be worn with tights, or with jeans, or with something cold-weather related. These booties are perfectly versatile (proof--I'm wearing them in 10 degree weather in the snow). And already, I'm envisioning them with spring dresses and skirts.

This Spring is going to be one of the best ones yet. Already, despite the fact that it's still freezing outside and that the polar vortex is continuing into March, I've had the best couple of weeks. I'm happier then I've ever been before and also starting to feel sentimental--in merely a month, I'll put away my books and be done with high school studying forever.

How am I going to be done in APRIL you ask? At my high school, senior's do a 5-week-long "senior project" at the end of the year--we take no classes, and have no homework. Instead we design our own 5 week schedule around WHATEVER we want to do. I absolutely can't wait.

What is my project, exactly? Along with two of my best friends, I will be pursuing happiness. What does this mean? I'm not quite sure yet. All I know right now is I'll be writing lots of poetry, taking lots of pictures, and hanging out with my friends. In the end, we hope to have interviewed other friends as well as people off of the street about what makes them happy, and turning it into a documentary (starring the three of us of course). I can't wait to pursue happiness and to tell you all of my adventures!

Here's to the best Spring ever!

Heart and ~Sol~

Dress- Anthropologie on lend from Lendperk | Coat- Delia*s | Glovesc/o Solfingers | Scarf- gifted | Belt- Gap | Hat- c/o Yak Apparel | Leggings- Kohl's | Socks- Lord and Taylor | Boots- Joe Fresh

When I saw this dress from Anthropologie I knew I would have fun styling it. I'd tried it on in the store about a year ago, and wanted to get it...except it was $150. SO HALLELUJAH FOR LENDPERK! You know those pieces that stick in your mind after you've tried them on and then not bought them?
This was one of those pieces. Yeah, more than a year later, it was still on my mind.

I styled it in a young, hip way with pops of color and print mixing. These gloves went well with my scarf and belt. Gloves have been a necessity for me this year more than ever: now that I can drive, it means I can't sit on my hands all the way to school at 6:30 in the morning. I have bad circulation too (it's really weird...I read when you have long arms/legs your circulation to toes/fingers is bad?) so my fingers get cold and numb really fast. So whenever I drive to school I have to wear gloves or else I'll freeze! Anyways, these Solfingers gloves are pretty warm and also great for texting! I love that about fingerless gloves. But not texting while driving, of course (don't worry Mom).

Solfingers has full gloves, too! Fingers and everything! Check out all they've got here

Lendperk Week

Dress- Lulu*s on lend from Lendperk | Shirt- Love Culture | Boots- Steve Madden | Belts- Gap, c/o YA Los Angeles | Necklace- Forever 21 | Bracelets- c/o OASAP, gifted | Socks- Lord and Taylor | Leggings- Aerie

This week is officially Lendperk Week on Wear Abouts! I've got three different dresses on lend to wear and feature and then a giveaway for all of you!

What is Lendperk? As Star, the innovator behind the service puts it, Lendperk is like the "Netflix for dresses". Let's be real...in this day and age, it's hard to wear the same dress multiple times. Not only are some statement dresses hard to style multiple times, it's also a fashion faux-pas to wear the same thing twice! Well, Lendperk is the cost-wary solution to any dress issues you may be having. How does it work?

I chose three dresses for my feature: one from Lulu*s, one from Anthropologie, and one from Modcloth. I'm saving the best for last...the Modcloth one is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You'll see that on Friday. Check out Lendperk and make an account--you'll need to sign up to enter the giveaway so why not get a head start? ;)

Had a loooong week and only one more to go before I'm off for Christmas break! FINALLY! I can't wait for Christmas. I had a looong wishlist this year, haha. I'm sure all fashion bloggers do though, right?

Plus I've only got one test this week. I had a bunch last week and I will have a bunch when I come back from break...but for now, anyway, I get to relax a bit. I am so ready for the holidays!
