This look feels very FALL to me. Maybe it's the colors--maybe it's the bare trees--or maybe it's the crisp, cool (not cold) weather we've had around here as of late. Whatever it is, I'm just glad it's not actually Fall! In my tip-top seasonal analysis here, I told you all about how the heat of Summer comes after Spring. Well, the chill of Winter comes after Fall. Therefore, Spring>Fall>Winter. And I'm not sure how I feel about Summer. What I've learned? I should start another blog on the four seasons and how they make me feel...I seriously need to stop boring you with my opinions on seasonal matters! :)

I'm excited to introduce to you a new feature of my blog called, "In the Mixx", where I will style one item multiple ways. I know it's not a new idea. Plenty of bloggers do all sorts of remixes! But I know I enjoy seeing other bloggers remix their items, because lets face it: who only EVER wears things once? Not someone on a high school budget like me! It's sometimes tough to come up with multiple outfits surrounding one piece. But that's a challenge that I'm willing to take! I've added a new tab to the Menu Bar above, where I will archive these "In the Mixx" features.  Here is the first installment in the series. Happy Tuesday! I've been thinking about the blog and you, my readers, a lot lately. Mostly, I've been thinking of ways to improve it both visually and content-wise. And that got me to thinking...other than those I know in real life, most of you don't know very much about me other than my name and my penchant for fashion. Well, I want that to change! I don't want you to just see me through my outfits, I want you to see me as a real girl. Cheesy as it sounds... :)

I'm officially on SPRING BREAK for TWO WHOLE WEEKS! My goal is to be posting as much as I can! That is...if I get off the couch and actually wear something. You probably don't want to see me all decked out in some sweats and UGGs. But, I do have some fun things planned these next two weeks that will (hopefully) inspire me to dress up!

First, I'll be going to Boston for three days to look at colleges *gulp*. It's hard to believe in 2 years I'll be off to college! I have no clue where I want to go right now, but I do want to be near/in a city, as opposed to the middle of nowhere!

Second, I'm going into NYC for a big shopping spree! I can't wait to load up on spring/summer fashions straight from the heart of the Big Apple!

I'll be more active in commenting on your blogs, as well, now that there's no schoolwork to hold me up! So here's to the OFFICIAL start of spring (in my book)....Spring Break! :)

Style Tip: This sparkly, floaty dress from Ruttish is super feminine and romantic. In order to avoid the overly girly look, pair with edgier accessories. I paired it with a leather jacket, leopard belt and spiked necklace but wore my ladylike color-blocked heels (don't they look like the Zara ones that EVERY blogger has?!) so that the edginess wasn't over the top.

With Spring just around the corner, I couldn't be happier to get rid of the short, cold days of Winter. To be able to take pictures outside without losing feeling in your fingers. Smiling without your lips trembling into some awkward grimace (my excuse for not smiling...sorry for my grumpy face)! Having a normal colored nose instead of a red Rudolph-like one. Losing the pale, blotchy-ness that takes over once the summer tan has faded away. Wearing skirts with bare legs and not knocking your knees together like a crazy woman. It may look all nice and sunny here but let me tell you looks can be deceiving. All of these things and more make Winter less ideal for a fashion blogger. But with Spring comes Summer, and with Summer comes sweaty feet, frizzy hair, and simpler outfits. Layering is not an option in the blazing heat of an east coast August.

There are downsides to every season, of course. But rather than look at the downsides, I'm going to focus on the ups. And Spring is packed with them! It's safe to say that I'm SO ready for Spring!

I was walking to class when a group of Kindergarten or 1st graders came jumping past, all in a line. Books in hand, I didn't pay much attention them, other than trying not to trample them. But then, one little boy screamed, "Look, it's a vampire!" I immediately knew that he was talking about me. Surprisingly, I wasn't offended. Instead, I took it as a compliment. I must have stood out for that little boy to look up from jumping around and say something about me! I smiled at him, of course. Not just to be nice but also to prove to him that I don't, actually, have fangs. :)
